We’re also pleased to share that four new dog waste bins and four new map boards have now been installed throughout the SANG and woodland areas.

The new bins provide convenient places for dog owners to dispose of waste responsibly, helping us keep the SANG clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone. We kindly ask all dog walkers to make use of them and help us look after this wonderful space.

Our SANG also plays an important role in supporting local wildlife and providing natural habitats for a variety of species.

These latest improvements support our ongoing participation in the David Bellamy Home Sweet Home Challenge, alongside our bird boxes, bat boxes, hedgehog homes, bee hives and bug hotels.

During our walk, we revisited some of the 115 trees we planted last year, checked out the bug hotels  and even found a tawny owl feather near some of the bird boxes! We also spotted some deer hiding amongst the trees, but unfortunately they were far too quick for the camera!

The new map boards will help visitors find their way around while encouraging everyone to enjoy the countryside responsibly. By working together to keep our green spaces litter and waste-free, we can continue to make the SANG a welcoming place for both residents and wildlife.

And we couldn’t miss the blackberries – they’re everywhere this year! It certainly looks like a bumper crop.

For residents of Warfield Park and The Paddocks, we’re incredibly fortunate to have all of this beautiful countryside right on our doorstep in the heart of Berkshire.
